95% of all cases of colon (bowel) cancer result from benign pre-stages, so-called polyps, usually asymptomatic, these often go un-noticed until a cancer develops.

This test screens for the presence of microscopic blood in the stool as an indicator of polyps (and other bowel disease)

Positive results should be refered to your doctor for further investigation.

The Care Diagnostica test involves taking a small sample of the stool using the test stick provided and inserting it into a pre-filled tube. A drop of this mixture is then placed onto a test strip and the result can be read within a couple of minutes.
