What's in the pack

HIV 1.2 Rapid Test Cassette (IHI-402) — professional use Qualitative detection of antibodies to HIV-1 and HIV-2 from whole blood (venipuncture or fingerstick), serum or plasma. Read at 10 minutes. CE 2934. The insert reports >99.9% sensitivity, 99.9% specificity and 99.9% overall accuracy, with 99.9% correlation against reference EIA and CMIA laboratory assays. No cross-reactivity observed with hepatitis markers, syphilis, EBV, CMV, HSV, H. pylori or common interfering substances. For professional in vitro diagnostic use only — not a self-test. A reactive result requires confirmatory laboratory testing, and as an antibody assay a non-reactive result within roughly 90 days of a possible exposure needs repeating.

Chlamydia Rapid Test Qualitative detection of Chlamydia trachomatis antigens from a swab sample. Read at 10 minutes, not after 20. The insert reports 96.0% sensitivity and 98.3% specificity. Supplied with swabs for male and female sampling. Suitable for self-testing.

Why these four together

Urethral symptoms in men are rarely specific on presentation. Dysuria and discharge could be chlamydia, gonorrhoea, non-specific urethritis or, less often, a urinary tract infection — and in men a UTI is uncommon enough that it warrants investigation in its own right rather than empirical treatment. Running the set together separates those possibilities inside one consultation.

Storage and handling

Store all tests between 2–30°C. Do not freeze. Keep cassettes sealed in their pouches until use and check the expiry date printed on each pouch. All tests are single use.

Important

Every test in this pack is a screening aid, to be read alongside clinical findings. Reactive and positive results require confirmatory testing through the appropriate laboratory pathway — this matters particularly for gonorrhoea, where antimicrobial resistance makes culture and sensitivity testing important before treatment. Negative results do not exclude infection, particularly within the window period for the relevant organism.
